
Winter Season Class Registration is OPEN
Little Sprouts, Little Explorers and our new Adventure Brews Homeschool Learning Pod is open for the winter session! These are parent involved classes were created to spike children’s curiosity, build their connection with nature, and learn more about the world around them. Over the 12 week session, our little learners will engage in hands-on activities, sensory experiences, and nature-inspired play. By participating, children will develop their problem-solving skills while developing their creativity and a love for nature.
12 WEEK SESSION DETAILS
Little Sprouts 12 Week Session Details:
- Ages: Open to ages 2.5 and younger
- Dates: Wednesdays 9:30-10:15 at the Tryon Recreation Center starting February 11th through April 29nd.
- Cost: Three payments of $59 or paid in full $159 (save 10%)
- Details: A weekly 45 minute class focusing on nature based learning and sensory experiences. Each class has a theme and includes a book reading, exploration activity, plus hands-on crafts/activities that allows for sensory exploration and the development of fine and gross motor skills, all while creating a community for parents. Classes take place outside with an indoor space and bathroom available for inclement weather.

Little Explorers 12 Week Session Details:
- Ages: Open to ages 2.5 – 5
- Dates: Wednesdays 10:30-11:15 at the Tryon Recreation Center starting February 11th through April 29nd.
- Cost: Three payments of $59 or paid in full $159 (save 10%)
- Details: A weekly 45 minute class focusing on nature based learning. Each class has a theme and includes a book reading, exploration activity, plus hands-on crafts/activities that allows for creativity and teaches valuable lessons related to nature. Classes take place outside with an indoor space and bathroom available for inclement weather.

Adventure Brews Homeschool Learning Pod 12 Week Session Details:
- Ages: Open to ages 5-8
- Dates: Wednesdays 11:30-12:30 at the Tryon Recreation Center starting February 11th through April 29nd.
- Cost: Three payments of $69 or paid in full $179 (save over 10%)
- Details: A one hour nature-based homeschool learning pod focused on science and STEM concepts. Each week centers around a theme and may include nature observation, experiments, group challenges, journaling or recording findings, and hands-on activities that support critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity-driven learning. Classes take place outside with an indoor space and bathroom available for inclement weather.

*If your child attends daycare and you would like a class offered at their school, please contact us with the school’s information. We’ve held this class at daycares with great success and are open to expanding to new schools.



Frequently Asked Questions
What will the classes be like? The 12-week sessions will be focuses on all things fall and outdoors. Students will learn through stories, hands on experiences, and STEAM focused activities.
What does parent involved mean? Parent involved means parents/caregivers will be present with their child for the class. The instructor will lead the class and direct and assist all activities; and parents will help their child as needed. However this class is geared towards allowing children to foster their own independence and creativity, so not much assistance will be necessary.
My child is 5, should they be in Little Explorers or the Homeschool Learning Pod? Little Explorers is a 45 minute class with curriculum geared towards a pre k level. The Homeschool Learning Pod is a 1 hour class with curriculum geared towards kindergarten through 2nd grade. Choose the class you feel would best suit your child and their current needs and experience.
Where does the class curriculum come from? The lesson plans for all of our classes are created from forest school curriculums and other homeschool curriculum resources. We do extensive research to provide quality lesson plans that are reputable and age appropriate.
Will there be snacks at the class? We do not provide any snacks. There is however a water fountain on site and you are allowed to bring whatever you need should you be coming with siblings. We do ask that you do not bring snacks with peanuts or tree nuts to the class. Note: If you are a nursing mother, you are welcome to breastfeed your infant if needed.
What if we’re out of town or unable to attend a class? If you must miss a class, we will provide you with the lesson and activity/craft directions and materials so you are able to learn and enjoy on your own.
My child goes to daycare, is this program offered anywhere else? All of our classes can be offered at local daycares. If you would like for us to inquire about offering the program at your child’s daycare, please email us the daycare and whom we should contact there and we will get in touch with them.
We can’t attend this one but are interested in the future, do you know when it will be offered again? The next season of classes begins in June.. If you would like to know when the next round of registration opens, please join our email list and you’ll be kept up to date.
